Middle School Teacher
I am a proud alumni of Morris Public Schools! #EAGLEPRIDE!
I attended Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow and graduated with my Bachlors in Elementary Education in 2004. I went back to school and recived my Master’s in Library Science in 2016. I have always been in love with learning and think you can never do too much! I also decided to further my career by becoming certified in Special Education in 2018. This has been my best decision yet. I love my job and cannot imagine doing anything else!
Bachelor’s degree and Certification in Elementary Education
Master’s in Library Science and Technology
Certification in Special Education
I began teaching in 2004. I have taught many different grade levels in many different districts. I feel like this wide diversity has helped me really grasp what I want and how I want my classroom to look like. I know that all children can learn and they all do learn differently.
This is my sixth year teaching at Morris and I am so happy to be “home.” It was always my dream to come back and teach at the school who made me into the person I am today! I currently teach 6, 7, & 8th Language Arts and Math.
I am currently not married, my husband passed away in 2018. I know this has made me a much stronger and more empathetic person. I do not have any children of my own, but I have 4 amazing nephews that I love to spoil! .
Welcome!! This year will be my 19th year in education I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Language Arts and Math. Most of my career was spent teaching in Elementary grades, but I wanted to be adventurous and try middle school. It was the best change I have ever made!! I love my job and all of the experiences that come with it. My favorite pass times are reading books, and watching football or baseball. I love to be outside and spending time with my family. I believe all children can be successful and will do everything to encourage that they see their worth! I believe in treating others with kindness and respect and always think you should choose the high road. The motto I am living by this year is #chooselove
